Boride CS-WX Series 6-Stone Boxed Set includes six 6" silicon carbide sharpening stones: F120, F220, F320, F600, F800, and F1200 grit. Compared to the 5-stone set, the 6-stone progression offers smaller grit jumps and smoother scratch pattern transitions throughout the sharpening process.

The set comes in a custom Gritomatic storage case 3D-printed from Blue-Black PLA plastic. Dedicated internal slots keep all six stones separated and protected during storage and transport. Reliable latches prevent accidental opening, while integrated ventilation holes help moisture escape after sharpening sessions.

Each stone features indigo anodized aluminum backing with permanent grit engraving on both sides for fast identification inside the box. The full stone progression is engraved inside the lid for quick visual reference. Bumpons and anti-slip textured bottom surface improve stability and protect the case on the workbench.

Boride CS-WX Series stones are premium sharpening stones made of silicon carbide in a hard vitrified binder. Designed for slow breakdown and long service life, CS-WX combines aggressive cutting speed with a more controlled sharpening feel than conventional coarse silicon carbide stones.

Unlike Boride CS-HD, which is optimized primarily for heavy stock removal, CS-WX delivers a cleaner scratch pattern and smoother tactile feedback at the same grit level. This makes CS-WX suitable for reprofiling, bevel correction, and intermediate sharpening of hard stainless steels, tool steels, and other wear-resistant alloys.

CS-WX is the first Boride silicon carbide series specifically well suited for use with light honing oil. Oil improves swarf evacuation, reduces surface loading, and gives the stone a smoother, more controlled feel on guided sharpening systems.

Boride CS-WX stones are mounted on high-quality aluminum blanks in standard Edge Pro form-factor, making them compatible with Hapstone, TSProf K03, Kadet, Pioneer, Work Sharp Precision Adjust with adapter, and many other guided knife sharpening systems.

Boride CS-WX stones should be used with oil or soapy water. Do not use the stones dry.
