New Cerax sharpening stones are used for sharpening knives on Hapstone and Edge Pro knife sharpeners. New Cerax is the middle range line of sharpening stones by Suehiro. New Cerax stones are made of aluminum oxide with the vitrified binder.
All New Cerax stones are 5-6mm thick and are mounted on high-quality aluminum blanks.
New Cerax utilizes relatively soft bonding to get a high sharpening performance. New Cerax stones are universal and can be used to sharpen knives of any steel including high carbon, vanadium, and chromium steels.
New Cerax stones are preliminarily lapped and do not require lapping after purchase.
New Cerax should be used with water as a lubricant. Soak New Cerax in the water for 5 minutes before use. Never store stones in water. Never dry near heat.
