The Glide Unit employs a brass bushing that eliminates play and provides consistent sliding performance, with the option of replacement if wear occurs. The rod locks into a parking position under its own weight, held securely by friction. The body is milled from aerospace-grade aluminum, the replaceable bushing from brass, and the hinge axis from stainless steel, ensuring both strength and durability under extended use. The updated geometry reduces resistance and prevents binding, contributing to a controlled, fluid motion throughout sharpening.
