CBN Stropping Paste is a highly effective medium for refining and polishing knife edges. CBN (Cubic Boron Nitride) is the second hardest substance known after diamond, offering unmatched performance in abrasion resistance, durability, and heat stability. Its superior hardness and chemical resistance make it ideal for sharpening where synthetic diamond compounds are less effective.
- Extreme Hardness: CBN is second only to diamond in hardness
- Superior Resistance: Exceptional durability under heat and friction
- Versatile Use: Suitable for leather, balsa, or felt strops
- Ready to Use: No mixing or dilution required
- Long-Lasting: A small amount provides many stropping sessions
- Product size: 40 × 40 × 55mm (1½" × 1½" × 2⅛")

.Applying CBN Compound
- Use with any strop made of smooth or coarse leather, balsa, or felt. Smooth leather provides the best results.
- No preparation is required. If the compound feels firm at room temperature below 20°C (68°F), warm it slightly to soften.
- Apply a small amount of paste evenly across the strop surface. A thin, uniform layer is sufficient.
- Once applied, the compound becomes embedded in the strop and cannot be completely removed. Keep one side clean if you want an untreated surface.
- To switch between compounds, use a separate strop for each grit or type.
Maintenance
- Over time, compound residue and metal particles accumulate in the strop surface.
- If stropping efficiency decreases, scrape the surface gently with a knife spine or cleaning tool.
- Apply a fresh layer of compound to restore optimal performance.
