Work Sharp Professional Precision Adjust

Description

6" Stone Holder for Professional Precision Adjust allows using any 6" sharpening stones including Venev Centaur and Venev Ursa Series dual-side diamonds, and any Edge Pro form-factor stones (with mounting).

Note. It's very important to keep a sharpening angle consistent. The angle should not change when progressing to a next stone. If the thickness changes, the sharpening angle changes. Unchecked, this can ruin your sharpening. Use a digital angle gauge to monitor the sharpening angle when you replace a stone in the stone holder. Use the angle adjustment knob of the sharpener if necessary.

Works well with my dovetail diamond and stone inserts. Has about the same feel as the oem handle. Can a bushing set be inserted if wear becomes an issue?

My main reason for using a holder other than the one that came with the WSPPA is to be able to use a wide variety of stones mounted on aluminum plates to get the grit range I want. After wrestling with the Hapstone stone holders for the Work Sharp PPA, I decided to give this one a shot. It is excellent! It allows about 5" of a 6" stone to be used on a blade. It also stores on the WSPPA in the same manner as the WSPPA stone holder. This holder holds every type mounted stone 1" X 6" own including the stones that came with my WSPPA. Great stone holder!

I like the stone holder. It is more versatile than the factory WSPPS stone holder with the magnets. I would like to have seen magnets embedded in the base to still use the WS diamond stones though. I may make that mod myself. Anyhoo this stone holder gives so many more options for stones. This is a definite upgrade to the sharpener.

I actually have an issue with my holder. I am currently working with Chris for a resolution. I ordered the 2nd revision holder but I unfortunately received the 2nd revision body along with the 1st design adjustment knob. This 1st design adjustment knob restricts the holder guide rod from giving the proper length of stone stroke. The smaller hole in the adj. Knob doesn't allow the rod to enter the holder as designed in the 2nd revision.It appears the factory mixed up the 2 parts of the holder( 1st design adjustment knob with smaller hole along with the 2nd design body with the deeper hole to allow a longer stone stroke utilizing more of the sharpening stone ) when they shipped my particular holder to gritomatic.
